Calendar Notes 2010
It is with pleasure that we present our 2010 Calendar of Events for Springwater Center. This year we are offering 10 Seven Day Silent Retreats led by Toni Packer, Wayne Coger, Sandra Gonzalez, and Richard Wittema - as well as a retreat with Stephan Biefeldt, from Germany.
Toni is scheduled to hold four retreats this year. Selected recorded talks will be played and there will be an opportunity for all participants to have a group/individual meeting with Toni in her home.
Sandra Gonzalez and Wayne Coger will lead a Four Day Silent Retreat in May. The schedule will be similar to the seven day retreat format, with a talk in the morning, group dialogue in the afternoon and opportunities for private meetings.
This year we will also be offering more weekend events for local and regional people. We held a two day weekend retreat this January and the response was very positive - we hope to be able to add additional short retreats later in the year. Although we have not yet scheduled any Sunday programs we are including more Saturday Sittings which will include a live talk in the morning, private meetings with one of the teachers, and group dialogue in the afternoon with Toni in her home. People interested in attending the Saturday Sitting are invited to come the night before to settle in.
In addition, we invite you to come to Springwater for a day, weekend, or a few days on this beautiful land. Most Saturdays, we journey to Toni's home for group dialogue. There is also a group dialogue at the Center on Tuesday afternoons. Tuesday through Saturday, teachers are available for private meetings, and we have evening sittings on many days. Please call reception at 585-669-2141 to make arrangements.
We are excited about how the Springwater community is growing and maturing. Dialogue groups are becoming more quiet and meditative, with deeper listening surrounding people's responses. New people are attending retreats from varied backgrounds. After retreat, people are leaving with smiles of gratitude, renewed by silence and a deep bond with other participants.
