Retreats: Dialogue Meetings
"The dialogue is a pooling of energy resources because looking into something – seeing, questioning, and discovering – is applied energy." – Toni Packer
The different dialogue formats which occur during and outside retreat are listed below. If you wish to attend a group outside of retreat, please contact us to confirm that it is taking place as schedule changes may happen.
Sandra Gonzalez has written an article "The Essence of Group Dialogue: Meditation in Action" which explains the nature of group dialogue at Springwater Center.
For an example dialogue, see this conversation between Toni Packer and Lenore Friedman.
Large Groups in Retreat
Occur every afternoon during retreat. Open forum to explore anyone's questions or observations as a group. Listening and exploring meditatively and freshly, not merely exchanging opinions. Retreat leaders usually in attendance.
Small Groups with Toni Packer in Retreat
Occur evenings during retreats led by Toni Packer. Six to eight people gather with Toni for an hour. Each person has the opportunity for a one-on-one dialogue with Toni while the others listen silently. Silent participation is fine. Each retreat participant can attend this meeting once per retreat.

A weekly dialogue group takes place at the Center every Tuesday at 2 p.m.
