You can volunteer with us outside of retreat in exchange for room and meals. Volunteer work is usually in the kitchen, housekeeping, painting, construction, or summer gardening. If you have skills or limitations with these jobs, please let us know when you apply.

Volunteers must pay for retreats they attend while visiting. Like staff, volunteers work from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm five days per week. Our work week is Tuesday through Saturday, with Sunday and Monday off. You must work a full week to get the days off without charge.

It may be possible to make arrangements to volunteer half-days and pay guest charges at a reduced rate. These arrangements are made on a case-by-case basis.

Please contact us if you’d like to visit as a volunteer. If you wish to visit for more than a week, staff must approve your proposal.  First time volunteer stays require a two-week trial period, and are limited to five weeks in total.
