Seven Day Retreats
Our seven-day retreats have been the core of our offerings since we held our first Springwater retreat in 1984.
We began holding retreats over 30 years ago based on the Zen tradition of week-long sesshin. Over time, we have dropped the forms of the Zen tradition but have maintained an atmosphere of silence and sustained inquiry.
Seven day retreats typically begin on Saturday evening and end the following Saturday. Guests may stay over the Saturday night following a retreat at no charge. The daily schedule includes periods of sitting, walking, talks, group dialogue, shared meals and rest.
