Event Cancellation and Temporary Closing due to Coronavirus
Staff at Springwater Center have been considering what would be an appropriate and responsible approach to the coronavirus pandemic. While there are no known cases of the virus in Springwater at this date, we feel it would be best to take proactive steps to help mitigate spread of the virus and to avoid any possible threats to the health and well being of the larger Center community.
In light of these considerations we will be closing the Center until April 23rd. We will continually check reports from the CDC and will make announcements about any further closings if the need arises This is a very rapidly developing situation and we thank you for your patience as we work with whatever changes to current recommendations become available.
In practical terms this closure means:
• The All Day Sitting of March 28 is cancelled.
• The All Day Sitting of April 18 is cancelled.
• Guests will not be accepted until further notice
• We are at present planning to hold he four-day Retreat with Stew Glick that begins on April 24th. If plans change we will let people know as soon as possible. And if anyone feels uncomfortable about coming to this retreat, they may cancel their reservation and we will issue a full refund.
We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause, but feel that these steps are in all of our best interests.
Perhaps the slowing of activity in Springwater and in our own communities might be seen as an invitation—an invitation to quiet awareness and patience with whatever circumstances we might encounter.
With best wishes for the health and safety of all,
Wayne Coger and everyone at Springwater
