“In describing, interpreting, judging, associating with past experiences, and the emotions that go with all of that, is there still the wind in the trees, now?”

4-day Silent Retreat
with Stew Glick
Friday, October 8 – Tuesday, October 12
OPEN for online particpation. Register here.
Stew Glick will lead this four-day silent retreat in-person from Springwater Center. He will give talks, attend dialogues, and offer private meetings daily throughout the retreat.
Stew worked closely with Springwater Center’s founder, Toni Packer, from the mid-1970’s until her passing in 2013 and has been leading retreats since the mid 1990’s. Stew and his wife, Lisa Schwartz, also facilitate a weekly dialogue and sitting group in their home in Rochester, NY.
Recently, Stew reflected on attending retreat in person at Springwater Center or via Zoom. Stew writes, Listening to what is here, a listening with not just the ears but with all the senses open and undivided, need not be dependent on one’s location. Feeling the wind on one’s face, to hear birdsong as if for the very first time, and to experience love and compassion bubbling up from who knows where may happen wherever we find ourselves.

7-Day Silent Retreat with Sandra Gonzalez
Saturday, November 6 – Saturday, November 13
OPEN for online particpation. Register here.
OPEN for in-person participation.
Register here.
Sandra Gonzalez will lead this retreat in person from Springwater Center before heading back to her native Nicaragua for the winter. She will give talks, attend dialogues, and be available to meet privately with participants during this retreat.
Sandra writes, Presence/tenderness/love cannot be known but can be felt and touched very palpably. Whatever I have named or described, is not it. One can describe what took place the best one can, but the description is not the actual thing. Words cannot reach it, nor define it. Definitions and descriptions are merely attempts by the mind to describe the indescribable just for the sake of sharing. So be it…
