2024 Annual Appeal

Hello friends,

Forty years ago this autumn, an energetic crew of mostly young people was striving with everything they had in them to construct and close in the Center’s main building against the oncoming winter.

More enthusiastic people gave energy to the Center in the intervening years, as it held hundreds of retreats, constructed additional buildings and evolved from a single-teacher facility to the multi-teacher, in-person and online Center that it is today. Friends will be heartened to know the teachers and administrators are currently working to ensure a new generation will be prepared to give talks, meet with others and lead retreats.

All of this happened and continues to happen with the support of people who understand the need to donate, in addition to paying membership dues and retreat fees. It’s worth mentioning here that membership dues have not been raised since the Center’s inception!

Over the years, a great effort has been made to keep membership dues and retreat rates affordable for all. But this has been possible only with the help of donors who give additional support. Without this additional support, it would be difficult to meet the real costs of operating the Center.

In the past few months we have been faced with heavy expenses associated with maintaining a forty-year-old facility—roadwork, septic line repair and a walk-in cooler upgrade. The Center’s reserves have been depleted, and we’re counting on your help to replenish them.

Please use the button below to access ways to give support and to make a contribution. With your help, this beloved place of meditative inquiry will continue to flourish.

With grateful thanks,

Wayne Coger, Administrator and Susan McCallum, Treasurer
