A Busy Summer
Since Springwater Center has re-opened to in-person guests and participants at retreats and with the warm temperatures of summer a long missed air of busyness pervades. The garden is in the growing season, the guest cabin deck has been replaced, there are more meals to prepare, rooms to clean, emails to answer, windows to replace, lawns to mow, gardens to maintain and so on. It’s an exciting time indeed.
Earlier in the summer a gypsy moth caterpillar infestation devastated many of the Center’s trees. The apple harvest will not happen, but happily most trees have releafed, providing welcome if somewhat diminished shade and shelter.
Currently all retreats are being held as hybrids with both in-person and online participants. A survey directed to hybrid retreat attendees will be forthcoming and it is hoped that many of you will give feedback in regard to this format.
