Springwater Center has Reopened
With great excitement the Center reopened to fully vaccinated guests on Tuesday May 25. Staff let out a cheer when our first in-person guest in the main house entered the dining room. The Center is now welcoming in-person participants at retreats and all day sittings, and overnight guests when we are not in retreat.
The May 29 all day sitting was the first attempt to hold a hybrid event. Some participants attended in person and some via ZOOM. While online participation is not for everyone, one of the ways the Center survived this past year was by offering virtual retreats that attracted numerous participants. Many have asked to have this format continue so we will experiment with a hybrid format for the upcoming retreats.
For the meantime all accommodations are limited to single occupancy except in the case of people from the same household. The single room supplemental rate is temporarily on hold until it is decided to have retreats return to operating at full capacity. There is space in all upcoming retreats for both in-person and online participation.
The daily virtual sitting schedule during non-retreat times will remain as is.
It is difficult to express sufficient gratitude to all who continued to support the Center over the last 15 months. Happily we can now look forward to being face to face with one another again.
