Whatever is said here about the ‘me network,’ or ‘self’ is not said judgmentally, critically, or with the implication: this is something you have to get rid of, control it. None of that. This is not the essence of this work. The essence is to begin to observe, to question, to come in intimate touch with what we call the movements of the ‘me,’ the ‘self,’ the ‘ego.’ To observe. To become intimate with it. To see it, to listen to it. The observation, the witnessing of that, is not part of the ‘me,’ is not part of that network. Gather with us from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm ET, for timed and untimed sittings, a late morning talk—this All Day by Sandra Gonzalez, and an open group dialogue in the afternoon.
In an article, Sandra writes, “It is acknowledging that in truth there is no other, but just human beings with a shared essence as well as a shared human conditioned mind. In this openness, in this listening that has no listener, there is no hierarchy, there is no knower but rather we all are students of life.”

Explore simple listening in natural beauty at Springwater Center, or online, from your own home. Sandra Gonzalez will lead this retreat from the Center. She will give a daily talk, attend group dialogues, and be available to meet privately with participants—both in-person and online, everyday.

November Quiet Week

A Meditative Atmosphere in the Midst of Everyday Life
OPEN for in-person participation, only. For reservations, contact reception.
Visit the Center for any number of days this week to explore meditative work in the gatering stillness of late autumn. During Quiet Weeks, half of the main house at Springwater is kept in silence for guests while staff go about their work as usual elsewhere.
Quiet week participants join staff for a daily one-hour work period and are othewise free to make their own schedule or follow one suggested.
Also offered this week are two group dialogues and access to private meetings with Springwater Teachers/Facilitators, staff, or other Quiet Week participants, as available.

Online Saturday Programs
Gather together online with friends from near and far every month for a 25-minute timed sitting, a recorded talk by Toni Packer, and an open group dialogue.

2022 Calendar
A printable calendar of events for 2022 is now available on the Center’s website. Please note, in-person attendance at retreats and All Day Sittings is currently limited to 50% capacity due to social-distancing precautions. Early registration is recommended and if cancellations are needed, please do so with as much advance notice as possible so another attendee may fill that space.
