This retreat is designed to create possibilities for engaging members and friends from the Springwater Center community in exploring, looking and listening alone and together via talks, dialogues and sittings. Teachers present in this retreat will not give talks but will take part in all other activities. A sign-up sheet will be offered for any participant who wishes to give a talk.
In this retreat we are invited to collaborate, to create together an atmosphere of stillness and quiet. And we are also offered the chance to explore what it is to give a talk, to share what is coming up for us without interruption and in the company of friends. Of course, no one is required to give a talk and a talk does not have to be long–just a simple sharing of one’s own words or words of others that one has found helpful. This collaborative format gives us a fresh opportunity to be with each other in retreat, a new way to explore the work of sitting and inquiry.
The retreat will be totally online, though it is possible to stay at the Center as a guest for all or part of it and attend using your own device. Part-time attendance is also possible. At this point, it is the only collaborative online retreat scheduled for 2025.
The retreat is very affordable, but if you need financial help to attend, please submit an application for assistance when registering.
